Minimize Your Need for Glasses and Contacts

If you are tired of always searching for your glasses or spending money each month on contact lenses, we can help. Life without corrective eye wear is possible. Better vision can allow you to more fully enjoy your life.

Laser vision correction is used to treat myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. Because each patient's needs are unique, Dr. Masihdas offers several types of laser vision correction. He will perform an in-depth examination to recommend the treatment that will benefit you the most.

Available procedures include:

  • LASIK - Dr. Masihdas offers both blade-free and wavefront LASIK. In both cases, a special laser is used to reshape the inner layer of the cornea (the clear part of the eye that focuses light) to enhance vision. More than twelve million Americans have undergone the procedure since it became FDA-approved in the '90s.

  • ICL - Implantable Collamer Lenses are implanted in the cornea, acting as permanent contact lenses that you never take out.

  • PRK - Unlike LASIK, PRK reshapes the surface of the cornea. PRK is usually recommended for patients with especially thin corneas.

Laser vision surgery can be very complex, but we want to make sure you understand your options. Dr. Masihdas will take the time to provide you with pertinent information to allow you to make an informed decision.
